Invisalign
A clear, discreet and removable brace system to straighten teeth.
Short description:
Invisalign is a clear brace system that can straighten your teeth in as little as 4-6 months. They are discreet and removable so that you can eat and drink anything that you like. The aligners work by gradually shifting each tooth towards the desired position. Invisalign’s sophisticated digital technology allows us to show you an initial simulation of what your teeth could look like following treatment.
- Consultation appointment to discuss your needs, desired outcome and what are the best options to enhance your smile. We will take photographs, a digital scan and create an initial simulation of your teeth.
- Clincheck (3D simulation of predicted results during and after treatment).
- Aligners fitted and your teeth straightening journey begins.
-
Clear, subtle and discreet.
-
Faster results compared to traditional braces.
-
Removable (can be removed to eat and drink everything).
-
Easy to clean and floss your teeth.
- If you’re eligible for the Invisalign treatment we would proceed to plan your treatment and show you a more accurate and detailed simulation of what the tooth movement will be week by week (via ClinCheck).
- This simulation will also demonstrate whether you will need any attachments in any of your teeth (i.e. tooth coloured bumps placed on some of your teeth to help the aligners grip onto the teeth better to produce the desired tooth movement), as well as whether we need to create some more space for your teeth to move using a process called IPR (whereby we gently reduced tiny amounts of the enamel present in between your teeth).
- Once you have approved your ClinCheck simulation we would get the aligners manufactured and we would be able to see you within three weeks to fit the aligners and start your Invisalign journey.
- Aligners must be worn for 22 hours a day.
- Essentially they should only be removed for eating, drinking colored liquids and cleaning your teeth.
- You should brush and clean your aligners at least twice a day.
- Change each aligner as directed by your dentist.
